Our Giving Philosophy
We believe generosity is different for every person
As a church we recognize that we are all in a different place on our journey of faith. For some, generosity is giving a couple of dollars. Others feel as though God has laid it on their heart to give a 10% tithe. Many at Proximity have chosen to give above a “tithe”. The important thing to us is that every individual decides in his or her heart what they will give.
Generosity is JOY
For so many, giving has been a done from a place of guilt. The Bible says that God loves a cheerful giver! We want every gift to be given from a place of JOY, knowing that our offerings are being used to further the ministry of God.
Generosity is WORSHIP
Every Sunday we take a moment to pause and give attention to the offering as an important part of our service. It’s during that time that we are worshiping God through our giving. Whether you give on Sunday or online, your gift is a sacrifice to God and is a spiritual act of worship.
Generosity is DISCIPLESHIP
God is a generous God. The Bible says, “For God so loved the world He gave…”. We can never match the generosity of God, but we can become more like Him when we live sacrificially for the Gospel.
